This one goes out to all of my former middle school ELL students and anyone that feels uncomfortable speaking English. On the one hand we expect immigrants to learn English, on the other hand, they get made fun of for having an accent or saying something that is not grammatically correct. School is already stressful enough between academics and fitting in with peers. My goal with this shirt is to: 1) start a conversation about what it means to be an ELL and the process of language learning, 2) make it popular to be an ELL and stop the stigma.
When you buy this shirt you are helping to fund my online ESL school and making classes more affordable for English language learners around the world. I am also working to offer lessons for refugees and immigrants for free.
