Last year the CEO of MiVariety Miesha Michael was invited as a volunteer to travel to Rancho Del Nino Orphanage. She joined the trip along with her husband, and there five year old daughter. While there during there week of thanksgiving 2016, she and her family built some very meaningful bonds with the children, and the nuns. Promising them to one day return, and help support there needs. Miesha is now organizing, directing, and sponsoring her own rerurn trip to Rancho Del Nino. The orphanage needs proper plumbing, functioning restrooms, and renovation to the babies nursery. ONE OF OUR OWN NEEDS YOUR HELP. Jose Guerra (IT) was blessed with the birth of his second child Meilani <a target="">on July 11th.</a> Meilani was born with a very severe congenital heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). It is a birth defect that affects normal blood flow through the heart. As the baby develops during pregnancy, the left side of the heart does not form correctly. She was transported by life light to Houston the day after she was born. She had open heart surgery at 7 days old, then another shortly thereafter. She also has a tracheotomy tube for breathing and a feeding tube. She has been in the hospital for almost 5 months due to many complications and will require another surgery in December. Although the City is meeting the medical needs of the family, there are many expenses the family needs assistance with- fuel for travel back and forth to Houston, parking at the hospital, meals while at the hospital, and many other expenses. Christmas is just a few weeks away.

Within the first 3 months of 2017 D.C. officials logged over 500 cases of missing juveniles. Most of these girls are black or latino. 25 black teens have gone missing since February. In the past 30 days more than 2 dozen young women ages 11-17 have gone missing. There has been almost no media coverage, amber alerts, or FBI attempts to find these girls. There aren't any crowdfunding campaigns yet to support the families of these missing girls. Our girls are disappearing, their families are in great pain, feeling helpless. This is why I have started a GoFundMe, I am completley outraged that there are little to no leads and very few efforts to bring these girls back home. There families need our help so they can have their loved ones back with them. Please help find our girls and find the people responsible of this.
