Help us launch a campaign that has been a long time in the making: This Is What We Look Like. The This Is What We Look Like Campaign aims to promote the presence, awareness, and progress of women in traditionally male dominated fields, such as surgery.
How?: Purchase a t-shirt. Then take a photo of yourself in this fantastic t, and send it to us (thisiswhatwelooklikecampaign (at) gmail (dot) com). We will post them one by one on the This Is What We Look Like blog to send the message and spread the word that surgeons can, and do, look like you! (Check out our site: thisiswhatwelooklikecampaign.tumblr.com)
Then What?: Pass this along to other women in the field, post it on Facebook, etc.
Why?: Let's change the face of surgery!
PS Also make sure you check out the Association of Women Surgeons, if you haven't already:

PS The founders of This Is What We Look Like are women in the fields of philosophy and anesthesiology. We have successful women friends in all sorts of fields, including (though not limited to) surgery. Eventually this campaign will include women in other fields such as: law, oncology, political science, the culinary arts, etc. The point is to fill the web with images of women doing what is traditionally thought to be men's work.
