Those darn salt water pirates of the Caribbean get all the mainstream love and attention. So we couldn’t help but be intrigued with the history of our very own Great Lakes piracy.
After a bunch of 'Googling', a bunch of reading and visits to the library and book store, we did learn that there is a history of piracy on the Great Lakes.
No, they didn't have chests full of gold coins. Instead, our pirates stole timber, illegal liquor and...venison. Yes, deer meat!
So to honor these unsalted Great Lakes pirates and their stolen deer meat, Unsalted Sailing presents 'Pirates of the Great Lakes'.
