The Storer Normal School was established in 1865 to educate recently freed slaves. Around 1938 the school converted into a 4 year accredited college called "Storer College". After the "Brown vs. Board of Education" case, the college shut closed its doors in 1955.
Due to the ongoing need for capital of existing Historically Black Colleges/Universities (HBCU), I have decided to start this campaign and donate 50% of the proceeds to a Virginia HBCU.
I am calling this campaign "Defunct"; bringing awareness to the defunct HBCUs and stressing the importance and need of the existing HBCUs.
