Show MoreI was diagnosed with Stage 4 Endometriosis after a routine surgery on June 30, 2014. My nurse described Endometriosis like crab grass…it just lives there and grows and grows and grows, despite how much you cut it out. So I felt disgusting and gross on the inside…until I created the Bloomin’ Uterus! It's a picture that helps me feel better about what's growin' and goin' on with my body. A few days after I made the graphic, I wanted to make buttons to spread around the world, which I sell for a $2 donation here (which also goes straight to the Endometriosis Foundation of America). And now there's Bloomin' Uterus t-shirts!
It's turned into a beautiful and fun coping mechanism, helping raise awareness and a sense of community and support.
