Sheri: Feb 2015: I was contacted through LinkedIn, by Lewis Gold claiming to be a widower, father of a 13 year old girl, an aeronautical engineer working as a contractor for the maint. & repair of aircraft on an active U.S. carrier. He wanted to connect on Facebook & left me a profile link, Yahoo Messenger ID, & phone #. Due to past experiences, I wasn’t looking for a man; but I sent him a FB friend request thinking of a pen pal. We began contact on March 4th & he sent me over 80 pictures. Before long I realized he was a scammer & I began a 2 month quest to find the real man in the photos. When I finally found him we exchanged emails & worked together to get the profiles taken down, but along the way we discovered each other! Our first Skype was 3 HRS! We grew very close over the course of a few weeks & he thanked me by inviting me to join him on an Alaskan cruise in Sept. MIKE: The cruise was an AMAZING experience that allowed us to spend quality time together. We really bonded, and maybe even fell in love with each other by the time we returned home. Sheri left the day after the cruise, and I never felt so alone. Dec.-Sheri flew out for my co. Christmas party. After four days together we realized that we NEEDED to be together for the rest of our lives! 100% of proceeds goes to costs (close to $1500 just for Uncle Sam) for immigration and relocation of Sheri from Canada to her new home with me in Washington! #trending
